Infection Control

Infection control in the dental office is very important to all of us. Our practice has always adhered to the highest professional standards in creating a setting which is comfortable and safe. We are in full compliance with all infection control guidelines:

  • The water supply to our equipment is from a bottled source and independent of the town supply. All lines are flushed daily and between each patient visit.

  • ALL of our instruments and supplies, including handpieces, are either heat sterilized after each use or are disposable.

  • Proper barriers (gloves, masks, eye shields, surface coverings) are routinely used to prevent cross contamination and/or injury.

  • Uniforms are laundered according to standard and fresh ones are provided daily.

  • The x-ray room is completely lead lined to prevent scatter radiation and protective drapes are always used during examinations.

  • All medical waste is removed from the office and disposed of according to EPA standards.

  • The staff has attended seminars and is knowledgeable on the latest techniques of infection control. Education is updated continually.

We want to assure you of our steadfast commitment to provide the most professional and safest level of periodontal therapy for you and your family.
