Venice Canals - Italy

There is an ebb and flow to a day of touring. After hours of walking through the hot densely packed maze of corridors in this fascinating city, I was definitely in the ebb phase. While awaiting a water taxi by the Statione Vaporetta - Piazza San Marco, I noted the contrasts developing between the gondola berths and the distant Duomo shrouded in haze. I anxiously hustled into a forward position and had only a short time to wait for the right flight pattern of a hungry gull to complete the composition.....click! My energy level was momentarily restored in the process.
